“America’s Next Top Model:” Final Four
They’re down to four models on “America’s Next Top Model,” and tonight they’ll strut their stuff in front of Tyra, Miss J, Paulina and Nigel to see who will “still be in the running to become america’s next top model.”
There’s Fatima, a sleek black woman who looks like a younger version of Iman. Then there’s Dominique, a receptionist from Ohio who’s got attitude to spare. She can’t stand Fatima and the feeling’s mutual. But Dominique is a strong personality who can shoot some very serious pictures.
Whitney, the gal who’s trying to become the first plus-size model—if you want to call size 12, plus-size—to win the whole competition, also has a bold personality, but can shoot some hot and cold pictures.
And last but not least, little Anya has the classic stick figure shape of a model, but personality-wise, she disappears into nothingness.
Last week, the ladies had to do a photo shoot as Xenas in training. I loved how overwhelmed Fatima was when the trainer was trying to show the ladies “gladiator moves.” She said it was so hard because the trainer would show them one step and then add another and another. Well, Fatima sweetie, that’s how you learn a routine: one step after another.
This cycle of Top Model hasn’t inspired me much. I miss Twiggy, and I didn’t think the photo shoots were all that interesting. I mean the meat fashions? Really. Even going to Rome didn’t help.
Yo Tyra? It may now be time for an all-star version of Top Model. After all, wouldn’t you like to see roach kissing Jade walk down the catwalk again? Now that would be some big fun.
