Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have finally confirmed that they are with child, much to the surprise of no one (well, except me…a little).
“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child,” said a statement from the parents-to-be on Wentz’s site, www.friendsorenemies.com. ”This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”
They have been married for almost two weeks, after announcing their engagement last month. Ashlee went the traditional route and has opted to become Ashlee Wentz, though her stage name will be Ashlee Simpson Wentz. She is estimated to be due in about six months.
In other stork news…American Idol alum Clay Aiken will be the father of a child with his fifty-year-old best friend. Yup, did you get that? Music producer Jayme Foster was artificially inseminated by Clay. However, he is not merely a sperm donor; he plans to play an active role in the child’s life (according to TMZ.com)… If you believe Perez Hilton, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are expecting a boy this summer… Zac Hanson and wife welcomed their first little one. John Shepherd Hanson has four cousins already, with another one on the way. Those Hanson Brothers just keep Mmmbopping and popping!

After a whirlwind world premiere tour, Sex and the City finally screened in fantabulous New York City tonight. The pink carpet, sparkly diamond chips, and screaming fans. Welcome home, SATC.
The four ladies were dressed in a coordinating color palette of rich metallics. Sarah Jessica Parker led the packs in a shimmery gunmetal mermaid-esque Nina Ricci gown. Kristin Davis donned a pleated and ruffled gold frock by Donna Karan. As usual, Kim Cattrall sexed it up in a strapless Vivienne Westwood pewter dress that made fifty-year-old women everywhere green with envy. Cynthia Nixon toned things down in a simple yet sleek white Narciso Rodriguez column gown (where are the accessories?). Even sidekick Jennifer Hudson went with the metallic theme - love the chic bob, girl!
It was a star studded premiere at Radio City Hall. It drew in A-listers like Ashley Olsen, Molly Sims, and Anna Wintour, as well as a slew of random barely celebrities like Lil’ Kim, Caroline Rhea, and Donald and Melania Trump. I couldn’t help but wonder… are there surprise cameos in the SATC movie?

It looks like the celebrities are finally coming clean and addressing their rehab habits. After a string of shocking and not-so-shocking celeb rehab admittances, Kirsten Dunst is the latest to speak publicly about her stint back in February.
The 26-year-old actress entered the now infamous Cirque Lodge in Utah due to depression, not for alcoholism or substance abuse, as previously insinuated by the media.
“It was a good six months before I decided to go away,” she told E! Online. “I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too.”
While alcohol was not the root of the problem, according to People.com, it did lead her to make the big decision to seek help. A friend of Kirsten’s said that one hardcore night of partying made her realize that she’s hit rock bottom.
Kirsten currently seems healthy and happy while filming her new movie All Good Things in New York City alongside Ryan Gosling, who the tabloids are predictably linking her with. She dispels the rumor with a laugh. Hey, has the girl seen The Notebook?

Michelle Williams put on a brave - and radiant - face and made her first major public appearance since the death of Heath Ledger. She walked the red carpet for premieres of two of her upcoming films at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to E! Online, the actress decided last minute to join the director of Wendy and Lucy in premiering and promoting the low-budget film (she plays Wendy). While in town, Michelle also made the rounds for Synedoche, New York, another flick she stars in alongside Catherine Keener and Philip Seymour Hoffman. After the screening, she attended a party to celebrate the comedy, where she caught up with Brad Pitt.
There was no time to enjoy the French Riviera as the busy working girl jetted back to Boston to continue filming the Martin Scorsese drama Shutter Island.

A picture’s worth a thousand words, huh. Rumors have swirled around the scarily inseparable blond duo for a while now that they are, ahem, more than just BFF.
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were doing what they do best - partyin’ - aboard P. Diddy’s yacht in Cannes last night, where the above photograph was snapped. A source says they held hands all night and were acting “affectionate.”
The pals have been attached at the hip since last year (remember when Linds fell asleep in Sam’s car). LL is often seen at the DJ’s side at her gigs, and even created a Facebook page with the name “Lindsay Ronson.” It does have a ring to it.

Every once in a while you come across actors that you truly believe are just like their onscreen fictional characters. And when you find out that they are - gasp! - actually their own person, you’re kinda shocked.
Well, well…Kristin Davis is no Ms. Charlotte York-Goldenblatt of Park Avenue. Despite the same perfectly shiny coif and put-together outfits, Kristin does have differences with her alter ego. For starters, Kristin is a recovering alcoholic, which she talks about in the new issue of Health magazine.
“I’ve never hid it, but I’ve been sober the whole time I’ve been famous,” she says. “So it wasn’t like I had to go to rehab publicly.”
I guess this means she has never drank any of the cosmopolitans during the six-season span of her mega hit show.
Kristin, 43, also opened up about how she would love follow in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps and adopt children one day. However, she is not obsessed with having a family like Charlotte York was most known for.

Ding dong! Jessica Alba married her beau of three years, Cash Warren, yesterday. Her rep did not reveal any other details, but we hear that they simply married at the Beverly Hills courthouse (per People mag). No fuss or themed wedding for these two. The couple is expecting a baby girl this summer.

After Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson broke it off (again), rumors are swirling that People’s most beautiful has caught the eye of Wilson’s pal Lance Armstrong.
The duo was spotted together three nights in a row this weekend, first in New York City then chowing down in Austin. A witness only commented “they looked like they were having fun.” Perhaps Kate is up for a role in the movie about Lance’s life? I would say Mr. Tour de France is quite the lucky bachelor…Sheryl Crow (and former Owen fling), Tory Burch, Ashley Olsen, Kate Hudson?

Siiigh. After declaring to the world that he was her “future husband,” Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have reportedly split up. According to Us Weekly, Tony broke it off with Jessica because she is torn up over ex John Mayer’s current fling with Jennifer Aniston. 
Meanwhile, young sis Ashlee is prepping for her wedding to Pete Wentz this Saturday (why the rush?). Delivery trucks and crews have been spotted pitching white tents in her parent’s backyard. UsWeekly also reports that meddling dad Joe has “begged” Tony to attend the wedding, though they are unsure if Tony has agreed. I just hope Jess can still tend to her maid-of-honor duties!
In other couple news: Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are off again… The onscreen parents of Blake Lively and Penn Badgely have confirmed their romance… Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi will tie the knot now that it is legal in California… Shania Twain and her husband of 14 years have separated.

Anyways, on to the gossip…Angelina’s confirmed that her and Brad are onto children #5 and 6!! Well, actually, Jack Black confirmed it….yeah….
In an interview for their upcoming flick “Kung Fu Panda” at the Cannes Film Festival, Jack accidentally said, “You’re gonna have as many as [the] Brady Bunch when you have these.” Oops.
Angelina did say she will “possibly” give birth to the twins in France (as rumored), where she and Brad are currently staying. Congrats Angie and Brad! Until next time…
