All That Glamour And Gossip

David Letterman made Lauren Conrad feel so uncomfortable on his show last night, and it was kinda fun to watch. 

After Lauren told Dave that she has had problems with everyone on The Hills, the host smartly responded, “That raises the question, maybe you’re the problem. You think?”

This completely caught LC off-guard. Throughout the interview, Dave didn’t hide his personal annoyance for The Hills and its characters. But to Lauren’s credit, she seemed to take it all in stride and even cracked a joke of her own. 

“He was probably checking his 15 minutes,” replied Lauren when asked why Spencer Pratt is always checking his watch. Touché. 

Catch LC’s guest cameo on ABC Family’s Greek season finale tonight at 9 pm.

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag have made amends!!

Lauren held her spring 2009 fashion show in L.A. Tuesday with the support of her friends Lo, Jason Wahler, and rumored fling Kyle Howard. Noticeably absent were frenemies Audrina Patridge and of course, Heidi. Not to fret though!

After the show, Lauren and gang headed to celebrate at STK, where “coincidentally” Heidi and Spencer Pratt were enjoying dinner and drinks.  

According to “Extra”, who was there to cover LC’s bash, the two blondes exchanged a polite “hi” when they saw each other. Heidi then pulled over an “Extra” producer to say that she wanted to approach her former BFF. The producer then told Lauren, and voila! Reunited!

The two talked for a bit and then “suddenly burst into tears and HUGGED!” The caps are Extra’s, not mine. However, Speidi did not stay for the duration of the party, but did congratulate LC on-screen (even Spencer!).

Before you shake off this over-enthusiastic report, Lauren confirmed the events to UsWeekly this morning. 

“Yes, it’s true. Heidi was at STK. She came in to the after party to congratulate me on the show,” she spills. “It was nice of her. I appreciated it.”

Yay, now take it one day at a time, girls…one day at a time.

PS - This should come as good news to The Hills fans as LC just revealed that she’s kinda over the show and is ready to finish its successful run. Seriously, quit while you’re sorta ahead.

News from the casting couch…

Everyone’s favorite California girl (or not) Lauren Conrad is scheduled to make a cameo as herself on my favorite ABC Family show Greek. She will appear on the second season finale on Oct. 28th. 

Britney Spears is coming baaaack, slow and steady. She is reportedly on to play a psycho lesbian stripper in a Quentin Tarantino remake of 1965’s Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill! Uh, ohh-kay.

“Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant,” a source said. “She’s delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around. It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She’s playing the most important character.”

In other QT news, new papa Brad Pitt is officially on board for Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards, a World War II action flick. Filming begins in October in Germany. Will the Jolie-Pitt clan be relocating then?

Well, well, well…hot off the heels of my last post, Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge were seen making nice and partying up a storm at Hollywood’s latest club du jour, Crown Bar.

A fellow clubgoer noted that the two roommates held hands and danced together all night, except when Audrina danced with too-cool-for-school sometimes flame Justin Bobby. Is the drama really over? Or is it just for the cameras?

And it all happened before you can say frenemy…

Weird fact of the day: LC was just ranked as #97 on the Forbes annual list of 100 Most Powerful Celebrities, raking in $1.5 million last year. Incredible what reality TV and being a regular 22-year-old can do for you. 

Speaking of rich 22-year-olds… a double shot of happy happy birthday to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen!

The blogs are alive with the sound of…break-ups? Splitsville is where Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge of The Hills find themselves.

It has been speculated that Audrina was asked to move out of the house they share via a note on her room door. OK! magazine also quotes Audrina as saying that Lauren was “very, very, very mad” (how articulate, A) when she came home to a photo shoot for the tabloid in her home. 

The tension has been bubbling for a while now. At several recent events, the former besties stayed far away from each other. Instead, Lauren’s been leaning on loyal friends Lauren “Lo” Bosworth (her other roommate) and fellow fashionista Whitney Port. 

Either LC is extremely fickle with her friends or just one smart cookie…hey, look no further than Heidi. PS - Speidi want to get married live on MTV, per E! Online. Geez, get over yourselves!

You know a reality TV show has truly hit it big when its stars are on the May cover of Rolling Stone. Just how did the leading ladies of “The Hills” snag the cover? After two years of being on MTV, are we at the peak of the obsession? More importantly, it took an iconic music magazine to get two feuding ex-friends together in one room?!

The writer of the article reports that on set, “the atmosphere was cordial but chilly.” Lauren and Heidi did not speak once throughout the day. MTV publicists and the show creator were also on set. That may be why no hair was loss and no catfights broke out.

I guess Rolling Stone was going for the whole sleepover, girls-having-fun kinda thing. It would have been a cute concept if you knew that Lauren, Whitney, Audrina, and Heidi were actually friends. It would be even cuter if they all looked like they were at the same shoot. Why do Lauren and Whitney look so natural while Audrina and Heidi look so posed? Well, I guess it actually makes sense when you think about it…

Everyone’s favorite zip code, 90210, is in works to return to the small screen with a spinoff. The creator and writer, Rob Thomas, said he wants to bring back one of the original cast members, but isn’t sure which one yet. Hmm, my money’s on Brian Austin Green aka David since there are characters who share his on-screen last name Silver.

Unfortunately, the late Heath Ledger is back in the spotlight. His uncles (one who is the actor’s godfather) claim that Heath’s dad is incapable of handling his will, which was drawn up before he was involved with Michelle Williams and fathered Matilda. The uncles say that they just want to make sure Matilda is taken care of, and that they fear that their brother will mismanage Heath’s estate like he did with their grandfather’s.

Just in time for the return of The Hills, nude photos of Audrina Patridge surface on the internet. Smartly, Audrina owns up and admits she made a mistake in her naïve teen days.

There is an arrest warrant out for Shia LaBeouf after he failed to appear in court for an unlawful smoking ticket. Since he’s currently MIA, if anyone sees him, please let me him know!

In fashion news…Lindsay Lohan’s designing a line of leggings, ‘nuff said. Heidi Montag is coming out with a clothing and accessories line to compete with nemesis Lauren Conrad’s line. Again, ‘nuff said.

MTV hit and teenybopper cult show “The Hills” is returning on March 24th with the bonus episodes so it’s about that time again when the girls create some buzz.

Lauren, Audrina, Whitney, and Lo had a fun girls’ night out this week to celebrate the launch of Borba water (o-kay). An onlooker tells People.com that ex-Ashlee Simpson flame, Josh Henderson, approached Lauren and chatted with her before he left.

LC announced on her Myspace page that she, Audrina, and my personal fave Lo (who looks like MK Olsen above) just moved into their new Hollywood pad. The Spanish-style house seems like the perfect for the girls to gossip about their latest loves and friendship troubles. Check out photos of the interior here, courtesy of JustJared.com. While the girls were busy moving in and partying, their nemesis Heidi’s unauthorized and unplanned duet with Britney Spears leaked to the Internet. Heidi added her vocals to an unreleased Britney song “Dramatic.” Listen to it here at UsWeekly.com. At least the girl’s not giving up after being slammed for her amateur music video.

Sadly, Heidi is also in the news for other reasons. Heidi’s stepbrother abruptly and tragically died from falling off the roof of the hotel where he worked. I was wondering if Lauren made any efforts to reconnect with Heidi, but she told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning that there was no chance of any reconciliation. Harsh, LC!
