I ate once: oh! eh? sorry, you meant Once, The film with that song in it

I just couldn’t let ‘Once’ pass entirely without presenting you with something. This little film held my attention and the song is wonderful, a little wistful, a lot tender. So romantic. I’m happy it got an Oscar.

A recipe for the proper making of Irish Tea

Thanks to Group Recipes for this

In America there is a lovely tea available called Ashby’s Afternoon Tea. You are not making Earl Grey or anything herbal. You are looking for regular English breakfast tea.

You will need a tea-pot and if you have any of those ridiculous strings on your teabags tear them off! You will also need a kettle, from this point forward you will never microwave water! Tea is not properly made unless the water is boiling.

Boil kettle

Swish some boiling water around kettle to warm it

Discard water and add 2-3 teabags

Fill tea-pot with boiling water

Allow to draw until desired strength is reached.

Remove teabags and discard.

Pour tea

Add milk (real milk, nothing powdered and no coffemate!!!)

Add sugar, if desired.

There you have it… simple right? Note the lack of lemons too!
